WINDTECHNIC’s first wind project in South Africa took place in 2014 in collaboration with a local partner, Concrete Units, that owns a precast factory in Cape Town.
After adapting the factory to meet the project’s requirements, the manufacture of the precast elements began for a total of 46 towers with a 100-meter-hub height.
The Gouda wind farm has 46 units of 3 MW turbines from the manufacturer Nordex, which also designed the towers that were manufactured.
