R&D: Design and study of industrialization of floating wind platforms

WINDTECHNIC is expanding into the world of offshore wind through this project, in which several preliminary designs of floating concrete foundations were developed. For this purpose, loads from a 5 MW offshore turbine in open water were considered.

Using the common technologies employed in the civil construction of port facilities and its experience in the design and construction of concrete structures, WINDTECHNIC has designed two types of floating caissons. Compliance with current regulations and buoyancy requirements was verified on both platforms, one with a triangular shape and the other with a rectangular shape.
