Collaborations

In collaboration with Structural Concrete Steel and the University of Catalonia, WINDTECHNIC designed the precast concrete section and internal elements of a 120-meter-high hybrid tower for the Gamesa G10X-4.5 MW platform. The structure, made of 82 meters of concrete and two tubular steel sections, features internal vertical and radial post-stressing. WINDTECHNIC was also responsible for the design of the foundations of these towers.

The certification process for the tower and foundation with Germanischer Lloyd (GL), according to the IEC standards, was successfully completed in 2011. With this design, 9 tower units were manufactured in Spain (Zaragoza, Navarre and Malaga).

Subsequently, after several tests at the Tech University Munich (TUM), the tower was certified in 2012 considering the applicable national German specifications required by the DIBt standards.
