Due to its previous experience in Brazil, where WINDTECHNIC constructed three wind farms in 2013 and 2016, the company was selected to design and supervise the construction of 104 concrete towers in the Novas Vilas, Terra Santa, Gameleira, and Maral wind farms.
The structures, with hub heights measuring 120 meters, were designed by WINDTECHNIC and certified by TÜV NORD for the Gamesa G132-3.X MW turbine. For the Brazilian market, a “ring-type” tower solution was chosen and subsequently manufactured in collaboration with Eolicabras* between 2018 and 2021.
*Eolicabras is a local company within the Serveng Group, one of the largest Brazilian construction companies with over 60 years of experience.
Novas Vilas: The 36 precast concrete towers in this wind farm, located close to Mossoró and developed by Voltalia, are 120 meters high and support Siemens Gamesa SG132-3.55 MW wind turbines.
Terra Santa: This wind farm, comprising 26 wind turbines, is located close to the city of Tubiba and was developed by Total Eren using SG132-3.55 MW wind turbines.
Maral: The 19 precast concrete towers in this wind farm, located near Mossoró, are 120 meters high and support Siemens Gamesa SG132-3.55 MW wind turbines. The project was developed by Total Eren.
Gameleira: This wind farm, developed by CPFL, was built near Touros and has 23 units of SG132-3.55 MW wind turbines, all of them supported by precast concrete towers with a hub height of 120 meters.
