R&D: Study of different types of joints

Since 2020, WINDTECHNIC has been working on the study of different types of joints to be implemented in the wind towers. The project includes the technical-economic analysis of both vertical and horizontal joints. As a result of this study, WINDTECHNIC has patented a new joint solution that will improve the dynamic behavior of the structure while facilitating its execution in the field.

To date, several tests have already been carried out in collaboration with LADICIM (Laboratory of the Division of Materials Science and Engineering) of the University of Cantabria.
